Police Caution Politicians Over Illegal Public Campaign

As political activities intensify ahead of
the 2015 general elections, the Abia
State Police Command has warned the
public and politicians in particular
against unlawful behaviours.
Warning them not to go contrary to the
electoral laws on campaigns, the Abia
police command cautioned against any
form of illegal public broadcast and
campaigns as well as unlawful
processions.
In a statement by the Abia State
command’s police public relations
officer (PPRO) ASP Ogbonna Geoffrey
on behalf of the state commissioner of
police, Adamu Ibrahim , it said the
measure has become necessary to
forestall any breach of peace that such
illegal actions are capable of
engendering.
